Shiny Shiny Stars! 3 GEMS!

I had dinner last night, in Bespoke, a fantastic Japanese Vegetarian Restaurant in Sunshine Plaza. The food was so great but nothing beats cancer with a group of friends cheering you up! Even though, it feels like I'm on Kyle's Got Cancer Press Conference :) I give them a free pass for not reading my blog and making me repeating my story.

I got to know this group of friends few years ago when I sign up to be a volunteer Buddhist Guide in Bright Hill Temple (people knows I can talk, might as well put it into good use), however, what I wasn't expected is meeting a group of jovial & loving friends passionate about Buddhism. We went through exploring, researching and arguing on something that was hidden centuries ago or just on a handwritten palm leaf. If time is a testament to our friendship, this 5 years would have been truly a joy ride.

Our group was  named as 3 GEMS, which in Buddhist concept signifies Triple Gems (Buddha, Dhamma (Teachings) & Sangha (Monastic Community) but also in our group means Guide, Explore, Motivate & Share. 

Now it has a new found meaning for me.

Dhamma will GUIDE me through this journey of recovery

EXPLORE new diets (Organic & Alkaline) to fight cancer

My family & friends will MOTIVATE me with strength to heal

SHARE the laughter, pain, gossip & happiness together without being alone
